My sympathies, Ben. I know this is the one race you really had your heart in. I think this is a mixed night for everyone.

Ben, did you see Byrne won Loudoun County (so far)? I know you're bummed she lost, but I think she did amazingly well for a PROUD liberal woman in Virginia!!!!

Byrne-Davis grudge match would be AWESOME. Especially with the whole personal vendetta thing. (Davis' wife redistricted Byrne out of her Senate seat then took it.)

Seank,

Yeah, Byrne really beat my expectations.

Though she's a great lady, I'm willing to take a loss in LG if we gain AG. After all, the LG doesn't really have that much power--particularly with a Dem guv.

One small problem with the Davis/Byrne grudge match -- she's now in Moran's district after the 2000 redistricting. I'd love to see her replace Moran. At least its my impression that they put her Sleepy Hollow home in Moran's district.

I think Russ Potts should run against Socas in the 10th district!
