Uh, looking at the individual county results, that call can be made. The big question is the down ballot races. It looks like Deeds is doing about 2 points better than Byrne

Well if you go by percentages, its ugly, but look at the turnout--LOW. Lower than 2001. For instance, in Alexandria, Kaine ran 5 points ahead of Warner...and end up with fewer votes because turnout was lower.So the question is what turnout was in the Kilgore parts of the state, which aren't reporting.
Look, you may be an authority on Virginia politics and all, but to call a race this close with only 55% of precincts reporting is a bit irresponsible. But hey, I guess it is your blog, so you can do whatever you want.
