When you vote, please post the following:

Name of County or City
Precinct Name or Number
Time you voted
# of Dems Voting
# of GOPers Voting

We're really hoping we can get reports from around the state on here. This is going to be a challenge with many of our readers at polling places... let's see if this works!

UPDATE: 7 A.M. - Light turnout so far in the first hour. Our turnout projections may have been too high which will throw a lot of races out of whack.... developing...

UPDATE: 8:30 A.M.
*Horrible turnout in Libby Garvey's base of Arlington in the 45th....
*Normally GOP leaning 11th Congressional District outvoting solid Dem 8th district so far in Dem Primary (appears to be Byrne turnout)
* Statewide GOP turnout routing Dem turnout.
*Numbers still below where we thought, but not by as much now.

* Baskerville getting good turnout in City of Richmond
* Strong GOP turnout in 67th Craddock-Reese battle.
* Some precincts in Fairfax County without power and voting paper ballots
* Good turnout for Connaughton in Prince William
* Underwhelming turnout for McDonnell in Virginia Beach so far.

Jem, in the 35th the Hyland Campaign is using a cheap trick of adding Kilgore bumper stickers to their signs making it look like they are endorsed by Kilgore.

Holmes Precinct: 640 A.M. Small Precinct in eastern Fairfax County. 5 Democrats voting, 2 Republicans. That's about 0.5% turnout of the 1400 registered voters so far (not terrible in context for the first hour). All 5 Democrats for Byrne, both Republicans for Connaughton according to poll workers.

Rigelea precinct (Fairfax, VA) -- don't know the breakdown but as of 7:00 am:

2 for Chap (myself and my sis)
4 unknown but could have been among the six folks handing out literature -- four Dems and two Repubs.

Mostly this precinct leans Republican but lately has gone for Chap in 2001 and 2003 but narrowly went for Bush in 2004. The area IMO is starting to get more Democrats due to the preponderance of synogauges and the trend of the old timer Dixiecrat Republicans moving away/dying off.

This is highly unusual, IMO. This area usually runs 52% repub. 48% dem. It's one of the few "close" precincts in usually republican Virginia Beach.

I overhead several of the older ladies working inside gossiping to one another. They claimed that several of their democrat friends had been in today, voted republican and voted for Bolling. True or not? Guess we won't know until the polls close & we get the counts.

Only 1 poll worker - for Wardrup only. No signs for Bolling or Baril. (Signs up for Kilgore, McDonnell, Connaughton, Wardrup.) 1 sign for Byrne - gosh that's the only one I've seen in all of Va. Beach for her. 1 sign for Chap!

Very heavy cross over, almost certainly to Ed Scott's benefit. Brightwood is normally the #1 or #2 heaviest vote in Madison County, exceeded by only five Culpeper precincts and one in Orange.

Expect another 50 voters before 7 PM for ~15.5 % turnout.
Last two GOP primaries were 17% in 2003 (Scott winner) and 25%, in a hard fought George Broman v Mike Sharman 1999 contest.

Mark Jarvis will be buried, as stated here consistently.
